Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, on Tuesday, revealed that the names of the four suspects accused of involvement in the G-11 Katcheri suicide attack on November 11 have been arrested. He went on to shed light on alleged ties between the suspects and the Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the minister said the attacker had failed to reach a high-security area, striking instead at a location on the outskirts of the city. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested four suspects immediately after the attack.
In a joint operation on November 16, the IB and CTD in Islamabad apprehended four terrorists with Afghan links who were involved in the attack. Police sources told The Express Tribune that after the failure of the first attempt, the attackers reportedly altered their plan. They hid in a rented house in Dhok Paracha to prepare for their operation.
“Within 48 hours, the agencies had apprehended Sajidullah, also known as Sheena, Kamran Khan, Muhammad Dhali, and Shah Munir.” “Sajidullah,” he said, “acted as the handler who brought the suicide bomber and the explosive jacket”.
The minister has stated that Sajidullah joined Tehreek-e-Taliban Afghanistan in 2015 and underwent training at multiple camps within Afghanistan. In 2023, he reportedly met an individual named Dadullah.

Tarar added that the attack had been planned by Fitna-ul-Khawarij and TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud through their commander, Dadullah, who is currently in Afghanistan. Sajidullah travelled to Afghanistan in August 2025 to meet Dadullah as part of the operation’s coordination.
Government authorities had previously confirmed that the network was directed by the group’s high command in Afghanistan. The cell included a now-arrested commander and three other members. Investigations are ongoing, with further arrests and revelations expected.
During interrogation, Sajidullah, alias Sheena, the handler of the suicide bomber, confessed that the group’s commander, Saeed-ur-Rehman, alias Daadullah, based in Afghanistan and serving as the TTP’s intelligence chief for Nawagai, Bajaur, had instructed him via Telegram to carry out the attack targeting law enforcement agencies.

G-11 suicide attack
On November 11, a suicide bomber detonated explosives outside the G-11 District Judicial Complex, killing 12 people, including lawyer Zubair Aslam Ghuman, and injuring over 36 others. Naqvi said the bomber had tried to enter the court building on foot but, unable to find a way in, detonated the device outside, close to a police vehicle.
The Pakistani government ministers have accused neighbouring Afghanistan of complicity in the bloodshed, an accusation Kabul denied and vowed retaliation if Afghan authorities failed to rein in the militants Islamabad says were responsible.
The suicide bombing outside an Islamabad court wounded 27 people, in addition to at least 12 killed, Interior Minister Naqvi said. The court bomber blew himself up near the entrance at around lunchtime.
