Two people shot, one killed at store on Dixie Highway in Valley Station

Two people were shot at a business on Dixie Highway Saturday morning, one of them fatally. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, just before 11:30 a.m., officers from the 3rd Precinct responded to a shooting in the 8800 block of Dixie Highway, where the Valley Station Game-X-Change store is located. When officers arrived on scene, they found two men, whose ages are currently unknown, suffering from gunshot wounds. One suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to police. All parties involved in the shooting have been located and the Louisville Metro Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating. The name of the deceased victim has not been released at this time. No charges have been announced yet. This story may be updated.

Louisville, Kentucky —

Two people were shot, one of them fatally, at a business along Dixie Highway on Saturday morning.

Louisville Metro Police said officers from the 3rd Precinct responded to a shooting in the 8800 block of Dixie Highway just before 11:30 a.m.

That’s where the Valley Station Game X Change store is located.

Upon arriving on scene, they found two males, whose ages are currently unknown, suffering from gunshot wounds.

One of them sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other person was taken to University of Louisville Hospital with injuries that police said were not life-threatening.

All parties involved in the shooting have been located and the incident is being investigated by the Louisiana State Police Homicide Unit.

The name of the deceased victim has not been released at this time.

And no word yet on any charges being filed.
