The much-anticipated heavyweight title bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk definitely lived up to the hype after the two undefeated fighters made it all the way to the end in a thrilling back-and-forth battle. In the end, two judges scored in favor of Usyk, making him the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era.

The judges’ scores were 115-112, 114-113, and 113-114.

Fury narrowly avoided defeat in his last fight against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, but was once again unable to maintain his championship form against Usyk on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fury may have underestimated both Ngannou and Usyk, and Saturday’s loss could be further evidence of a steady decline after a long reign as WBC heavyweight champion.

Usyk’s technical ability and consistency paid off in the later rounds after Fury dominated the middle rounds. Usyk came back late in the fight and scored a knockdown from Fury in the ninth round. Initially seen as the underdog, Usyk’s odds improved as the fight approached, but Fury, who looked perfectly fit at Friday’s weigh-in, still entered the ring as the favorite to win.

After the fight, Fury instituted a rematch clause against Usyk and said he intended to have a rematch in October.

Here’s how the entire Ring of Fire card unfolds:

There’s an ongoing battle between Inoue and Crawford for the top spot in the P4P rankings, and that’s no surprise, but why not include Usyk in the mix now? Debatable in the Cruiserweight division He is currently a heavyweight. Giving Tyson his first loss. Two places higher than AJ. Just a resume.

Fury leaves while the interview is still going on. It looks like he took off his trunks too. Derrick Lewis style.

Other than this remark, Fury had little tolerance for defeat.

Fury said he believed he had won more rounds and wanted a rematch soon in October.

Usyk is the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era.

We’ll probably have a rematch in October.

And he would be the undisputed champion for two weeks, after which he would be stripped of the IBF title.

But for now…history. he did it. 🇺🇦

Wow, Usyk won. It’s a great battle. At first it was mostly Tyson. It looked like Usyk was gassed, but he came back to life with a big left. Fury was unable to regain full control.great fight

The battle will go far! The scorecards arrive as both fighters think they have won the fight.

  • Saturday, May 18, 2024, 4:32pm (Pacific Daylight Time)

It may have been a mistake for the Fury to fight like a small fighter jet.

The champion will be decided in 90 seconds!

  • Saturday, May 18, 2024, 4:30pm (Pacific Daylight Time)

    The final round is approaching.

Usyk could be up 2 or 1. Fury goes up by 1. Is it Thailand? I don’t know.

The aforementioned 10-8 might allow them to avoid a draw.

This final episode should be great. Everything is on the line.

Considering Fury’s history of overcoming trouble, Mark Nelson deserves credit for not stopping this fight after nine rounds. Some referees may not have given him that opportunity. #Fury Usyk
