The United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan will arrive in Pakistan today (Sunday) on a two-day official visit, according to a statement from Foreign Office.

The visit is part of efforts to enhance bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE, described by officials as “deep-rooted and brotherly” Express News reported quoting FO.

According to the Foreign Office, Sheikh Abdullah will hold wide-ranging talks with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

The discussions will cover trade and investment, energy cooperation, regional security and people-to-people exchanges. The Emirati minister is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Officials say the meeting will reaffirm the two nations’ shared vision for peace and prosperity in the region.

“This high-level visit reflects the shared desire to strengthen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” the Foreign Office said in a statement, adding that regional and global developments will also be on the agenda.

The UAE is one of Pakistan’s leading trade partners in the Gulf region, and officials say the visit will help advance new opportunities for economic engagement and strategic coordination.

Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have expanded their economic cooperation in recent months through a series of agreements aimed at enhancing trade, investment, and infrastructure development.

In February, during the visit of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince to Islamabad, both countries signed multiple accords covering sectors such as mining, railways, banking, and infrastructure. These agreements are seen as part of broader efforts to deepen bilateral economic engagement.

Earlier in January last year, Pakistan and the UAE concluded deals exceeding $3 billion, focusing on railway development, economic zones, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
