As the UK general election approaches on 4 July, it is becoming a tightrope walk for Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party, with recent opinion polls suggesting it has been overtaken by Reform UK.

This is the first time that Nigel Farage’s Reform UK has beaten the Tories in this poll.

The poll, conducted after UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak published his party’s manifesto, made it clear that the Conservative Party could be heading for disaster.

A YouGov poll found that Times The paper says Reform UK is leading with 19% of the vote, a 2% increase from the last poll, while the Conservative Party remains unchanged at 18% compared to the last poll.

Several pollsters have suggested that Keir Starmer’s Labour party will win the UK general election in July and that he will become the next Prime Minister.

But the Labour Party, which is leading with a comfortable majority in a YouGov poll, has barely lost any support since the last time, down 1% to 37%.

“This is the turning point. The only votes being wasted right now are Conservative votes. We are a challenger to Labour and we are on our way,” Nigel Farage said in a video posted to X.

The poll was conducted June 12th and 13th with a sample size of more than 2,200 adults.

With 20 days to go until the election, Reform UK is proving to be a major hurdle for Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party to overcome. It may not win the election, but it will certainly eat into Conservative votes.
