Copa America action continues Wednesday on FS1 with Uruguay and Colombia facing off in the semifinals at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. The winner will face CONMEBOL rivals and defending Copa America champions Argentina in Sunday’s final.
Colombia took the lead in the first half, James Rodriguez continuing his good form by providing his sixth assist of the tournament and setting up Jefferson Lerma’s header from a corner kick, but Colombia suffered a major blow late in the first half when Daniel Muñoz was sent off for elbowing Manuel Ugarte, receiving his second yellow card of the first half.
Still, Colombia kept Uruguay on target despite being without a man for the entire second half, keeping their unbeaten streak at 28 games and setting up a showdown with Lionel Messi and a powerhouse Uruguayan side in Sunday’s Copa America final.
