A political analyst known for accurately predicting US elections since 1984 has predicted that Vice President Kamala Harris will win the upcoming November election.
Alan Lichtman, who accurately predicted the victories of Donald Trump in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020, based his prediction on his “13 Keys to the White House” methodology. According to Lichtman, Harris has secured six of these keys, while Republican presidential nominee Trump has secured just three.
While the four keys have yet to be assigned, Lichtman said Harris’ strong position suggests “a lot of bad things have to happen for Democrats to lose.” He plans to make his final predictions after the Democratic National Convention.

The Trump campaign is launching a $10 million ad offensive in six battleground states this week to counter voter enthusiasm and a surge in donations for Harris, his Democratic rival. It marks Trump’s biggest ad buy since January, when he was battling his Republican rival for the party’s nomination.
Since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris last week, she has quickly solidified support within the Democratic Party and among big donors, while also energizing younger voters and other groups that Biden has struggled to reach.
After attacking Biden’s eligibility for months, the Trump campaign has been forced to pivot to find a new message to counter the younger, more dynamic Harris, 59, with less than 100 days until the Nov. 5 election. Trump, 78, on Monday released an ad on his platform, Truth Social, using quotes from Harris’ own old interviews, campaigns and debates, seeking to portray her as an extreme liberal out of touch with ordinary Americans, especially in the Rust Belt.
In response, Harris accused the Trump campaign of lying about her record.
“Vice President Harris has been a key leader working across party lines to pass the Biden-Harris Administration’s historic and popular policies,” Harris press secretary Sarafina Chitica said.
