The U.S. rugby team played Romania at the 1924 Paris Olympics. One hundred years later, the Eagles and Oaks will commemorate that moment on July 5 at Chicago’s SeatGeek Stadium.
The American Eagles have invited two opponents to take part in the summer’s international matches, the so-called American Series. First up is Romania, after which the Eagles will face a strong Scottish team on July 12th.
Before the game against the USA, Scotland will face Canada on July 6 in their first match since losing to Ireland in the Six Nations in March. Ireland won the tournament, but Scotland have beaten England and Wales, so it will be a tough test for the Eagles.
The US Eagles are also scheduled to play Tonga in November.
