Why was it so difficult for Inzamam-ul-Haq to understand how Arshdeep Singh reverse-swinged the ball before the death overs in the ICC T20 World Cup match against Australia? Creating unnecessary fuss ahead of the semi-final match between India and England, Inzamam made the sensational claim that Rohit Sharma’s Indian team had manipulated the ball to generate reverse swing.

On the eve of the semi-final match between India and England, skipper Rohit addressed his customary press conference and hit back at Inzamam’s denial of the ridiculous ball-tampering allegations against his team. At the T20 World Cup press conference in Guyana, the witty Rohit gave a notable reply when a reporter asked him for his honest opinion on Inzamam’s shocking statement. The Indian captain came out with a hilarious reply and dismissed Inzamam’s accusations in true Hitman style.

Rohit retaliates against Inzamam over ball-tampering allegations

“What did you say to my brother?” (What should I say?) When you’re playing in such warm weather and the wicket is so dry, the ball just flips. Every team flips the ball. We’re not the only ones. Sometimes, Someday you’ll be mine“It (use your head) is important. You have to understand where you are playing. The game is not going to be in England or Australia. That’s all I will say,” Rohit told reporters.

What did Inzamam say about Arshdeep?

Former Pakistan captain Inzamam, who was told by India captain Rohit to remain open-minded, questioned whether Arshdeep could reverse swing the ball in the Caribbean.Interestingly, the same Inzamam would not have had any reservations if it had been Jasprit Bumrah who reverse-swinged the ball against Australia.

“If Pakistan bowlers do this…”

“If Pakistan bowlers had done this, there would have been a big uproar. We know really well how to reverse this. If Arshdeep has been reversed in the 15th innings, it means a lot of effort has been put into the ball. If Bumrah does this, (it will be understood), that’s the way he moves. If he does this with another particular movement and speed, it means the ball has been prepared in a special way,” Inzamam told a Pakistani news channel.
