Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan played a key role in his team’s victory in the tense second T20I against Ireland. It came after the Men in Green achieved a shock victory against Ireland in the first T20I. With this victory, Pakistan succeeded in tying the series at 1-1. However, Rizwan’s mention of Virat Kohli in his post-match speech attracted more attention.
Mohammad Rizwan was named Player of the Match. After the match, he commented that Ireland had performed well and Pakistan should recognize their efforts. According to him, it was difficult for Ireland to chase down the 194 points, especially since they knew the local situation well and put up a strong challenge from the beginning. Nevertheless, Pakistan chose to attack, which ultimately led to success.
Rizwan became the No. 2 batsman in T20 international cricket with an average of over 50. But he doesn’t like to focus on averages, he said.
“I don’t look at my numbers. If you look at the average, you’re an average player,” he said.
