INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Well above normal weather is expected over the next few days.
this morning:
A dry and comfortable morning was experienced across the region this morning, with many waking up to sunny skies and temperatures rising into the mid-50s F. Fog was seen along the Ohio River and light clouds were visible across the northern part of the state.




Wednesday:
The warming trend will continue today with mostly sunny skies and above average temperatures. Humidity will remain low and winds will be relatively light. Highs will rise into the mid 80s F this afternoon.




Wednesday night:
Overnight skies will be mostly clear and mild with lows only dropping into the mid 60s Fahrenheit.


Thursday:
Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s Fahrenheit.




A cold front will move through the state late Thursday night, bringing storms to much of the Midwest, with severe weather possible, including strong winds and large hail, especially in the northern and northwestern parts of the state.




Friday:
Friday will be a dry day after the cold front moves through quickly. It will be mostly sunny and a little cooler, but still plenty hot. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s Fahrenheit.
this weekend:
An upper level ridge and heat dome will form over the weekend. Highs will warm into the mid to upper 80s on Saturday. Highs will warm into the low 90s on Sunday with higher humidity.




8-day weather forecast:
It’s going to be hot next week with several days where temperatures will reach 90 degrees. Humidity will also be very high, bringing with it the possibility of showers and thunderstorms each afternoon.


The rainfall outlook is looking a little better, especially in the northern part of the state. It’s not particularly dry right now, but a little rain would be nice. Parts of the northern third of the state are expected to get between 1 inch and 1.5 inches of rain over the next seven days.




The weather forecast for the next 8 to 14 days calls for warmer temperatures across much of the eastern half of the country. Precipitation is expected to remain average for this time of year until the middle of the month.
