Live Mystics games featuring the audio of Monumental Sports Network will be available on Team 980 starting tonight.
Washington DC (June 6, 2024) – of Washington Mystics and Boldness Today, the Mystics’ new flagship station, The Team 980 (WTEM-AM), announced a partnership to broadcast live Mystics games throughout the 2024 WNBA season. The broadcast schedule will begin on Thursday, June 6 at 7 pm ET against the Chicago Sky at Capital One Arena and continue through the end of the regular season in the fall.
The broadcast will feature the following simultaneous live audio feeds: Monumental Sports Network (MNMT) television broadcasts (including halftime reports) and fans can tune into all 25 of the Mystics’ remaining regular season games available on the network this season. Most radio broadcasts will be broadcast on The Team 980, with select games broadcast on 106.7 The Fan (WJFK-FM) and The Bet Washington (WJFK-AM), and all games will be streamed locally on the Audacy app.

Team 980 is Washington, DC’s first all-sports radio station, featuring live, locally-sourced personalities such as The Sports Junkies, Kevin Sheehan, Chris Russell and Craig Hoffman, and is the flagship radio station for the Washington Wizards, Maryland Terrapins football, men’s and women’s basketball, and Georgetown Hoyas men’s basketball.

The radio broadcast of the news was announced later on Monumental Sports Network. Registered The season opener between the Washington Mystics and the New York Liberty on May 14 drew the highest television ratings for a WNBA regular season game in the past six seasons.
