The “Hand in Hand” dog trend left viewers and pet owners in tears as their beloved pups took part in one of May’s trendiest TikTok challenges.
TikTok’s “Holding Hands” trend may be just the beginning of taking over dog talk, but the millions of views posted by its posters overnight shows just how adorable this fad really is is shown.
The “reach out” trend requires at least two people, a dog, and a lot of love. A pair of she-girlfriend TikTokers place their hands on a pile for the camera to film and wait for the dog to place its paw on it.
The trend started in May of this year, with more than 13 million posts on the platform and a mission to bring dog lovers together to celebrate their furry best friends.
In one viral post, TikToker “danniwellss” shared his take on the challenge, garnering 14 million views in just two days.
Danny and her loved one held hands and waited for the dog to obey. Within seconds, the adorable pup was giving Love a tap with his paw. Afterwards, the three celebrated with great joy.
“When you cheered, she immediately felt proud of herself,” commented a fan who captured the happy moment.
“They look at their dad and then they look at their mom…you can see the wheels turning lol,” added another user.
TikToker and 13-year-old playful participant owner “aayydduuhh” also tested the “Hand in Hand” trend and received over 1 million views in one day.
It took the pup a while to catch on, but he eventually gave his owner a paw, leaving the TikToker gasping with excitement.
Viewers who watched her viral clip almost cried at the sight of the old girl and her “big brown eyes.” Others couldn’t help but call her “beautiful.”
The “Hand in Hand” trend is giving dog owners another reason to document their beloved pets, but many viewers are also reminded of their own dogs, making the content even more wholesome. It also shows how special your furry friend is.
