What did Shoaib Malik say about Pakistan’s batting order?
Speaking after Pakistan’s loss to England in the second T20I, Malik said batsmen like Azam Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed need more time and overtime to be truly effective.
“This is not the PSL, this is international cricket and just before the T20 World Cup,” Malik posted on his Twitter handle. “In my opinion, the batting order should be… Fakhar, Rizwan, Babar, Azam, Iftkar, Imad, Shadab.”
“The captain needs to utilise the bench players wisely,” he added. “Going forward, the captain should give Azam and Iftikhar enough time and overs to settle in. It’s unfair to expect them to score 12-14 runs straight away. Good luck in the remaining matches!!!”
