After the 2024 T20 World Cup, India and Pakistan will face each other in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The two Asian powerhouses have limited their encounters to ICC and continental tournaments due to political differences.
Indian teams have historically dominated their arch rivals in ICC tournaments, most recently when India narrowly defeated Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York. Pakistan’s last win against India in an ICC event was in the T20 World Cup 2021 in the UAE.
And their previous defeat came all the way back in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017. Eight years later, India will clash with Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

When will India play Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025?
As of July 2024, Pakistan is set to host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The BCCI is yet to reveal its decision to send a team to the neighbouring country, despite there being no bilateral sporting ties between the two countries for over a decade.
According to a PTI report, India and Pakistan will clash at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. March 1, 2025. Moreover, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also suggested to the ICC that all India’s matches should be held in Lahore if the country tours Pakistan for the tournament.

When does the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 start?
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is scheduled to begin on 19 February 2025. The three-week-long ODI-format event will feature the top seven teams from the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and hosts Pakistan.
The final will be held on March 9th, with March 10th set as a reserve day.
