Total number of candidates with criminal cases
As many as 244 (18%) of the 1,352 candidates contesting in the third phase have declared criminal cases registered.

Total number of candidates with serious criminal cases
Of the 1,352 candidates, 172 (13%) have serious criminal convictions.

Total number of candidates with cases related to crimes against women
Thirty-eight candidates have filed cases related to crimes against women. Two of her out of 38 have rape-related charges (IPC Section 376 and IPC Section 376(2)(n)).

Among major political parties, 3 out of 3 candidates from RJD, 4 out of 5 candidates from Shiv Sena (UBT), 2 out of 3 candidates from NCP (SP) and 5 out of 10 candidates from SP. 26 out of 68 Democratic Party candidates were elected. One out of three INC, JD (U) candidates, 22 out of 82 BJP candidates and one out of six AITC candidates have criminal cases registered against them.

Among major political parties, 2 out of 3 candidates from RJD, 2 out of 3 candidates from NCP (SP), 2 out of 5 candidates from Shiv Sena (UBT), 3 candidates from JD (U) 1 out of 1, 3 out of 10. SP candidates, 14 out of 68 INC candidates, 14 out of 82 BJP candidates and one out of six AITC candidates have serious criminal cases against them.

Election districts subject to emergency alert
Of the 95 constituencies being contested in Phase 3, 43 are red alert constituencies. Red alert constituencies are constituencies where three or more candidates have registered criminal cases.
