There are five contestants left, but only one will earn the “American Idol” moniker.
Season 22 of the reality singing competition will air on Sunday, with the winner crowned after months of star-studded talent competing for a $250,000 prize and a recording contract.
In the penultimate episode, Triston Harper and Emmy Russell finished in the top five but were eliminated from the competition. The pair visited Walt Disney World with Abbi Carter, Jack Blocker and Will Moseley, performing popular Disney songs.
According to ABC, Jon Bon Jovi will serve as a guest mentor for the episode, and Sunday’s episode will feature special performances from music legends and top stars.
Since its premiere in 2002, “American Idol” has launched the careers of some of the world’s most iconic singers, from Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Adam Lambert to its first winner, Kelly Clarkson.

The season finale of “American Idol” season 22 is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 19th at 8pm EST on ABC.
It will be available on Hulu starting the next day.

Perry made the announcement on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Season 22 will be her last season as a judge on American Idol. She told Kimmel that the other judges knew she was “planning some things this year,” including an appearance at the Rock in Rio music festival in Brazil.
