WASHINGTON, DC — On May 1, Congressman Dan Muser and Williamsport small business owners Vince and Selina Pulizzi attend the House Small Business Committee’s “Small Business Showcase” event. I visited the U.S. Capitol.

The event invited entrepreneurs from across the country to showcase their businesses and speak with members of Congress about political issues affecting their businesses.

Congressman Mueser invited Vince Pulizzi and Selina Pulizzi, owners of Labels by Pulizzi in Williamsport, to attend the event. Labels by Pulizzi was one of his 15 companies participating in the event. Founded in 1968, family-owned Labels by Pulizzi is his 32-person custom printing business in Lycoming County. Since opening, the business has provided clients with over a billion custom labels of all kinds.

The timing of this event coincides with National Small Business Week, which begins Sunday, April 28th and runs through Saturday, May 4th.

Congressman Muser said, “Small businesses are the heart of America’s economy and the foundation of our communities. During National Small Business Week, and always, we are committed to supporting the local economy of Pennsylvanians. Advocating for small businesses across the state, the Small Business Showcase was a great opportunity to shine a light on Main Street and give them the recognition they have earned. We were pleased to be able to highlight their businesses and share with members of Congress the hurdles entrepreneurs face.”

Mr. Muser added, “As chair of the Small Business Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Taxes, and Access to Capital, advocating for pro-growth initiatives that benefit entrepreneurs is one of my top priorities. Small Business is committed to opposing the Biden administration’s burdensome rules, regulations and taxes that stifle innovation and hinder success, and fighting for policies that help the small business community thrive. , struggling with rising inflation, rising energy costs, and a burdensome task under the administration, the Biden administration has no grasp of the realities facing entrepreneurs and trying to get the economy back on track. We need to course correct.”

The Pulizzis added: “As third-generation owners of a label manufacturing company in central Pennsylvania, we have seen the rise and fall of the industry and economy over the years. We are aware of the current state of our country and are working with leaders to make changes. Small businesses are the backbone of our country, and we can’t thank Congressman Mueser enough for his efforts to help them thrive. I can’t.”

For the past 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration has sponsored National Small Business Week, which recognizes the important contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners.
