MARINE CORPS BASE HI, KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii — Jasmine Wong was able to win the final title to cap off her illustrious prep golf career.

On Wednesday, she shot an even-par 72 and stroked past Punahou’s Jessica Lee at Kaneohe Clipper Golf Course to become Iolani School’s first individual champion at the David S. Ishii/HHSAA Girls’ Golf Championship.

In the past 28 tournaments, the Raiders have won the team title (2012) but have never had an individual champion.

Wong, who will attend Gonzaga University in the fall, changed that on Wednesday by defeating five other players who shot at par or better, winning 74-72-146. Wong signed a contract to play for the Bulldogs in November after winning several HSJGA titles and the 2024 and 2023 ILH championships.

Wong made two shots on the 18th and survived a bogey on the par-3 hole.

Punahou’s Nicole Ikeda shot a 2-under 70 on the Clipper, earning the best score of the tournament. No one finished in the red on Tuesday.

Punahou shot a 13-over 445 over two days, earning a state-best 13.th Women’s team title.

Bouffant Bleu (233-212) improved by 21 strokes from the first day to the second, winning the team title with a 20-stroke lead over second-place Mililani. Punahou was 4 under on Wednesday, making it the only team to finish below par on both days. In Bouffant Bleu, three players (Lee, Ikeda, and Sydney Fook) finished in the top five.

Mililani scored 465 and Moanalua finished third with 478. Iolani, led by Wong, finished fifth.

Waiakea holds the second-most titles for a women’s team with four.
