- WWE fans started screaming, “This sucks!” It’s reminiscent of Kurt Angle’s entrance tendencies, along with the Chad Gable theme.
- Wrestlers like Angle and Gable could become stars with unique fan interaction upon entrance.
- WWE may consider tying Gable and Angle together, as their themes and wrestling backgrounds share some clever similarities.
Chad Gable is often compared to Kurt Angle. With their shared background as amateur wrestlers, similar looks, and style in the ring, it’s hard not to see similarities. Now, as a heel in WWE, Gable has been compared to Angle in a different way, and WWE hopes this trend continues.
The WWE Universe started doing something a little unexpected on Raw, and the company is hoping they found lightning in a bottle.
What are the new trends?
On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, Gable and Otis attacked Samia Zayn after a singles match. As Gable’s music filled the arena, fans began chanting, “This sucks!” Along with Gable’s theme music. Angle became known in WWE for making fans sing “You suck” to his songs, regardless of his status as a heel or babyface. Well, Gable’s theme music is similar, so if you listen to both, you’ll notice that they both start in the same key and have breaks that allow fans to join in on the action. On Monday night, the live audience was clearly finding the right moment to sing.
WWE posted the video on social media with the tag “It’d be a real shame if this went viral…” And it probably will.
Wrestlers and their trends can become stars
Ask Angle now and he’ll tell you the pros and cons of having fans singing along to his songs. It dominated his persona in a way, and to this day the crowd continues to do so. But it helped put Angle on the map. It was a good combination for him to be able to wrestle and for the fans to have a reason to look forward to his entrance. Other stars have their own quirks too. Jey Uso now uses the Fireflies, Zayn has the crowd singing along to his songs, and Cody Rhodes gets “Whoa!” roars when he makes his entrance.

Kurt Angle talks about possibility of working with Chad Gable during heel turn
Kurt Angle was asked if he would be open to joining Chad Gable during his WWE heel run. The former WWE star had an interesting reaction.
If the crowd gets hooked on the idea of signing Gable, he has the talent to use that to his advantage.
The question is whether WWE will link Gable and Angle together. Angle has already said he’s open to the idea, so it makes too much sense for WWE not to at least consider it.
