Former temple guard Heijer Miller has announced that he will be transferring to Virginia Tech. his social media Wednesday night.
Miller is a Philadelphia native who played high school at Neumann-Goretti and spent the past three seasons with the Owls. He started just eight games as a freshman, but has become one of the most important parts of the Owls’ lineup, starting 68 games over the past two seasons.
He was the Owls’ leading scorer last season after former guards Kalife Battle and Damien Dunn transferred from the program, averaging a team-high 15.9 points and four assists.
Miller entered the transfer portal after the 2022-23 season, but chose to return to Temple once the Owls hired head coach Adam Fisher in April 2023.
Miller was the catalyst for Temple’s improbable run in the 2024 American Athletic Conference Tournament, setting an AAC record for total points in a single tournament with 96 points. He scored 32 points in the Owls’ 85-69 loss to UAB in the AAC Championship Game.

Adam Fisher has brought in two high-profile transfers in recent days: Jamal Mashburn Jr. and Lynn Grier III.
He joined Virginia Tech looking for excitement after hovering around .500 for most of the past two seasons. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
