Los Angeles County is expected to continue its upward trend over the next few days, reaching above-normal temperatures by the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
“Temperatures today will generally be within a few degrees above normal,” a statement from the National Weather Service said.[But] Temperatures are expected to rise from Wednesday through Friday or Saturday, with above-normal temperatures expected to continue into next week.”
As the heat increases, humidity is also likely to increase as monsoon moisture makes its way into the region.
As the week progresses, inland areas can expect more clear skies and a steady rise in temperatures.
The weather service warned that the heat would continue from Thursday or Friday until at least Tuesday next week, and possibly beyond.
