Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how NabkaNews (“we,” “us”) handles information when you visit our website. We are committed to keeping data collection to a minimum.
1. Information we collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or payment details to read the news. The information involved in a typical visit is limited to:
- Technical/log data — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is standard information that web servers and hosting providers automatically record to operate the Service and protect against abuse.
- Local preferences — for example, your light/dark theme choice is stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. It is not transmitted to us and never identifies you.
- Search terms — words you type into the search box are sent to our server (and to the underlying news feed provider) solely to return results. We do not build advertising profiles from them.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
NabkaNews aims to use as few cookies as possible. We do not use cookies to sell your data. If analytics or advertising are enabled in the future, this section will be updated and, where required by law, you will be asked for consent. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
3. Third-party services
Because NabkaNews aggregates the news, some data is necessarily handled by third parties:
- News & feed providers (including Google News) supply the headlines, links, and thumbnails you see. When you click a story you leave NabkaNews and are subject to that publisher’s own privacy policy.
- Hosting & infrastructure (Google Firebase / Google Cloud) process server logs to deliver the site.
- AI processing — headline text is sent to our AI provider to generate summaries and briefings. We do not send any personal information about you as part of this process.
These providers process data under their own privacy terms.
4. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and secure the Service;
- To understand aggregate, non-identifying usage so we can improve the site;
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or technical issues; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
Server and log data are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
6. Children’s privacy
NabkaNews is a general-audience news service and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
8. International users
The Service may be operated from, and data processed in, countries other than your own. By using NabkaNews you consent to such processing consistent with this policy.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
