A region of space known as the "space butterfly" is home to hundreds of baby stars. The area, which resembles a butterfly due to waves of gas emanating from its core, has been observed in various wavelengths. Observations of the space butterfly, possibly also referred to as the Cat's Paw Nebula, have captured images of newborn stars and their surroundings.
