The 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander has been named the official safety car for Pikes Peak. Other Mitsubishi models, including the i-MiEV electric car, have also been involved in various motorsport events. It is unclear what role, if any, these other models will play at Pikes Peak, but Mitsubishi is reportedly planning an electric entry for the event.
