A new comet, C/2025 R2 (SWAN), has been discovered and is currently visible in the evening sky after sunset. The comet is expected to potentially become visible to the naked eye in October, although its performance is uncertain. It has already been imaged in relation to other celestial objects, such as Messier 16 and Messier 17.
