A cruise ship that experienced a hantavirus outbreak had 23 passengers disembark before the outbreak was confirmed, with these individuals returning to various locations, including the US and Australia. At least one of these passengers has since fallen ill. The whereabouts and health status of the other passengers who disembarked are being sought as part of a global tracing effort.
