Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in AppArmor, a security layer for Linux systems, that can potentially allow for root access. The vulnerabilities, reported to be at least nine in number, may put millions of Linux systems at risk, with some reports suggesting over 12 million enterprise systems are affected. The exact scope and details of the vulnerabilities are still emerging, but they appear to have been present in Linux distributions since at least 2017.
