A joint operation by the CBI and DRI has busted a wildlife crime syndicate, resulting in the rescue of protected animals and birds. The number of rescued species is reported to be either 52 or 53. The syndicate is said to have operated in multiple states, with some outlets specifying the involvement of Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and West Bengal.
