A preferred route for the Cork Luas has been revealed, with some schools and sports clubs facing compulsory purchase orders. The route, which includes 27 stops, may also affect residents in the Wilton area, potentially resulting in the loss of parts of their gardens. The project's cost is reported to have more than doubled, with estimates now at €2.5 billion, and a public consultation is underway until June.
