Researchers have proposed a method to detect nuclear weapons in space using cosmic protons. The approach, which involves detecting neutron signatures, could potentially verify compliance with the Outer Space Treaty. A small satellite, possibly as compact as a CubeSat or shoebox-sized, may be used to implement this detection system.
