A new catalog has expanded the number of simulations of black hole collisions, more than doubling the number of gravitational-wave detections. The catalog includes discoveries of black hole and neutron star collisions, which are helping to test theories such as Einstein's theory of general relativity. The expansion of the catalog is also leading to new proposals for measuring cosmic expansion and deciphering gravitational waves.
