China has sent artificial or synthetic human embryos into space as part of an experiment to determine if humans can reproduce in zero gravity. The embryos, which are described as stem-cell-grown structures resembling early human embryos or human embryo models, were launched to a space station. The goal of the experiment is to find out whether humans can reproduce beyond Earth, although the outcome is not yet known.
