China's electric vehicle exports have reached a record high of $9.2 billion, with demand from southeast asia, particularly the asean region, being a key factor in the surge. The record was set in may, with exports rising by around 49-50% compared to the same period the previous year. The increase in exports is reportedly driven by energy security concerns and a growing demand for electric vehicles in the region.
