Claude Opus 4.6 has taken the top spot in the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, reportedly outperforming other models such as OpenAI's Codex. The model is said to offer improved performance and safety features, including increased token context and "agent teams". However, it is unclear how long it will hold this position, as other models, and possibly even an updated version, Claude Opus 4.7, are also being introduced.
