Research has been conducted on crustal radial anisotropy, with one study focusing on the Iran Plateau and another on southwestern Canada. The studies used ambient noise tomography to infer crustal radial anisotropy in their respective regions. The findings may provide evidence for certain geological processes, such as crustal extension and tectonics.
