Research has been conducted on all-optical switching in intersatellite laser communication, with studies exploring various methods for high-capacity and secure optical wireless communication. Some approaches being investigated include the use of 2D DPS-OCDMA, thin-film lithium niobate optical phased arrays, and integrated acousto-optics arrays. These technologies aim to enable advanced optical multi-beam steering and communication capabilities.
