Researchers have developed a framework for automated STED super-resolution microscopy, which may enable faster and more gentle imaging. The framework appears to utilize deep learning and may be compatible with multicolour structured illumination and real-time image deconvolution. The quality of images produced by this method is being evaluated using techniques such as image correlation spectroscopy.
