Research is exploring the environment in which certain blood cancers, known as hematologic neoplasms, develop. The bone marrow niche is being studied in this context. Additionally, the microenvironment of the central nervous system is also being investigated, particularly in relation to pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
