A molecule known as a lithium-aluminium heterobimetallic dimetallocene has been synthesized. This achievement is reportedly a first, and also represents the realization of a prediction made 20 years ago. The synthesis of this molecule has been reported by chemists, with details of the work and related complexes also being documented.
