Michigan State University and Missouri State University are reportedly observing Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Heritage Month with various events. However, there is some confusion as one of the universities is also mentioned in the context of Black History Month. Additionally, other events and initiatives are taking place on the campuses, including the formation of an Asian American student group and the release of a professor's opera project.
