The ASEAN Foundation has released a digital outlook and research on AI readiness in the region. The study suggests that while AI usage is widespread in some countries, such as Việt Nam and Thailand, literacy gaps and other challenges persist. The region's digital economy is reportedly growing, with some countries emerging as cost-competitive markets for data centers and others launching initiatives to strengthen AI governance and skills development.
