A prosthetic arm, reportedly inspired by a character from Star Wars, has been developed, allowing an amputee to feel objects again. The arm, which has been tested, appears to improve grasping and decrease cognitive burden for the user. However, it is unclear if the arm is specifically named after Luke Skywalker or if it is just inspired by him, as some reports also mention a separate Iron Man themed bionic arm given to an 8-year-old amputee.
