The acting chief information officer of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Scott Blackburn, has resigned. His departure follows reports of it issues at the department, including problems with the implementation of the Forever GI Bill. The department has also recently announced new initiatives, such as an office to lead its electronic health record modernization and a rule allowing for telehealth care across state lines.
