Jim Caviezel will not reprise his role as Jesus in the sequel to "The Passion of the Christ", which is reportedly being made by Mel Gibson. The project, referred to as "The Resurrection of the Christ" or a sequel to "The Passion of the Christ", is moving forward without Caviezel. Filming for the project is underway, with Caviezel and possibly other original cast members, including Monica Bellucci, not returning.
