A pilot for a series called "Witness Protection" starring Alison Brie is not moving forward at FX. The project, which originated from David Chase, had been developed by Hannah Fidell and Gina Welch into a contemporary take, with Brie playing a high-end madame in a story set in Maine. The pilot had assembled a cast that included Pablo Schreiber, Zoë Chao, Finn Wittrock, and Ashley Thomas, and had been filming in Toronto.
