Apollo has struck a deal to acquire Emerald for $1.5 billion and Questex for an undisclosed sum. The acquisitions are expected to create a leading North American B2B events platform. A new CEO, reportedly named Paul Miller, will lead the combined Emerald-Questex company, which includes the publisher of MJBiz.
