An archive has been found to show the role of fentanyl promotion in the opioid epidemic. Research is being conducted to understand the surge in fentanyl and other synthetic opioids. Additionally, efforts to increase access to overdose treatments, such as over-the-counter Narcan, are being seen as a positive step for public health.
