A new study suggests that australopithecus afarensis, the species of the early hominin known as 'Lucy', spent significant time in trees. The study's findings are based on analysis of fossilized remains, including a 3-million-year-old foot. However, some reports also mention the possibility of a second early human relative living alongside Lucy, although it is unclear if this is a separate discovery or related to the same study.
