A bald eagle chick in western Pennsylvania underwent emergency surgery after swallowing a fish hook. The chick, estimated to be around two weeks old, was reportedly fed the hook accidentally, with it being attached to a worm. The eaglet is currently recovering from the life-saving surgery, which was prompted by an urgent multi-agency rescue effort.
